What is peerChat?

peerChat is a desktop chat application that connects you directly to other people with no server in the middle.

Most chat apps — even "encrypted" ones — route your messages through a central server. That server can go down, get blocked, get hacked, or get subpoenaed.

peerChat has no server. Your messages go from your device directly to theirs.

Local network

On the same Wi-Fi or LAN, peerChat automatically discovers anyone else running the app. No configuration, no IP addresses — it just works.

Anywhere in the world

Share your public key with anyone and chat directly, peer-to-peer, regardless of where you are. No account needed, no middleman.
